Add or remove access to your YouTube channel

If yous have a Brand Account, you can now use channel permissions to add or remove admission to your YouTube channel instead. Annotation that Make Accounts using aqueduct permissions, including owners, temporarily can't use Live Control Room. Learn more.

Yous can have multiple people manage your channel without giving them access to your Google Account. Inviting someone to manage your aqueduct:

  • Is safer than sharing your countersign.
  • Lets you give only the corporeality of access they need.
  • Is less disruptive past making the user comment or view videos on YouTube with their own channel.

Limitations

Right now, people you've invited to manage your aqueduct:

  • Can only manage your channel in YouTube Studio on computer or partially on mobile.
  • Tin can't manage via YouTube.com or YouTube APIs.
  • Tin't do certain actions in YouTube Studio (See the table below).
  • Owners tin still make people moderators where they tin can reply and moderate inside YouTube.com and the YouTube app.

Channel Permissions in YouTube Studio: Invite People to Help Manage Your Channel

To add access:

  1. Get to studio.youtube.com.
  2. On the left-manus side, click Settings.
  3. Click Permissions.
  4. Click Invite and enter the email accost of the person yous'd like to invite.
  5. Click Access and select the role you'd like to assign to this person:

    • Can't access acquirement data (includes chat revenue and viewer activity tab)
  6. Click Salvage.

To remove or modify access:

  1. Get to studio.youtube.com.
  2. On the left-paw side, click Settings.
  3. Click Permissions.
  4. Get to the person you'd like to remove and click the Down arrow.
  5. Select a new role or click Remove access.

Note: Channel permissions don't support some parts of Studio only nevertheless. Fifty-fifty though the owner can admission these features, invited users tin can't admission:

  • Features that aren't built into Studio, similar Community post creation.
  • YouTube.com, YouTube Music, YouTube Kids app, or YouTube APIs.

To find the channel owner's name and electronic mail:

If you manage a channel, you can find out the channel owner's name and electronic mail. You lot may demand this info, for example, to ask them to phone-verify their channel to go access to certain features.

Annotation: Only managers and the possessor tin view names and emails of people that accept access to a channel.

  1. Go to studio.youtube.com
  2. Click Settings and then Permissions.
  3. You'll view the proper name and email of everyone that has access to this channel. Brand note of the owner'south info.
